Fruit Crumble

Serves 4

INGREDIENTS:

  • 150g (5oz) Self raising flour
  • 50g (2oz) Porridge oats
  • 75g (3oz) Margarine
  • 50g (2oz) Sugar
  • 450g (1lb) Fresh or tinned fruit

EQUIPMENT:

  • Weighing scales
  • Mixing bowls
  • Knife
  • Chopping board
  • Tin opener
  • Casserole type dish
  • Oven gloves

METHOD:

  • Prepare fresh fruit, drain if tinned
  • Place in casserole type dish
  • Put flour and oats into mixing bowl. Rub in margarine until like breadcrumbs
  • Stir the sugar into the crumb mixture and press crumble mix onto fruit
  • Put into pre-heated oven 200ºC/400ºF/Gas mark 6 and bake for 20-30 minutes until the top is lightly brown
