Tuna pasta

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 Large tin tomatoes – chopped
  • 2 Tbsp tomato puree
  • 1 Onion – chopped
  • 1 Tin (180g) tuna
  • ½ Mug frozen sweetcorn
  • 1 Clove garlic – chopped (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • Pinch mixed herbs
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Equipment:

  • Tablespoon
  • Saucepan
  • Sharp knife
  • Chopping board
  • Tin opener
  • Wooden spoon

Method:

  1. Heat the oil in a pan.
  2. Add the onions and garlic, if using. Cook until soft.
  3. Add the tinned tomatoes, tomato puree, mixed herbs, salt and pepper.
  4. Cook on a low heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add tuna and sweetcorn and cook for a further 10 minutes.
  6. Serve with pasta and vegetables or salad.
