How drugs are taken
Depending on the drug you use, how often you use it and how you use it, this section of hi will be of more or less importance to you. Harm Reduction advice often suggests changes in routes of administration/how the drug is used.
If you are a regular drug user it is well worth your while
learning about how drugs can be taken. Some people don't explore
other less risky ways of using drugs and soon find that they are
experiencing some serious problems. Harm in drug use can never be
totally removed, but, it can be limited and reduced. Having a
strong sense of control over how you use is very important. Do you
make the choices or decisions about how you use or do you do what
your friends are doing? When you are using what messages to you
give to your peers, do you give others time and space to think
about how they are using?
The hi team will continue to develop this part of the site,
providing you with the most up to date harm reduction advice about
safer ways of using. Never dismiss a safer alternative without
finding out why it may help you.
